The board of TEC announced on February 5th that it will spend £120m acquiring 100% stake of Soil Machine Dynamics (SMD), a UK-based world leading manufacturer of subsea vehicle systems. The deal will be concluded after the completion of the filing procedures with several Chinese regulatory authorities. Via this purchase, TEC will extend its core electric transmission and control technologies of rail transportation into global subsea equipment market.
