Our Chief Scientist Mr. Ding Rongjun of Times Electric and first Chairman of the China IGBT Technology Innovation and Industry Alliance, together with the State Key Laboratory of New Power Semiconductor Devices officially introduced Professor Florin Udrea as a new member of the Academic Committee of the State Key Laboratory of New Power Semiconductors in Hunan.

With his international leading research and expertise, he will help on guiding the key laboratory academic organization and reviewing the national laboratory enterprise goals, research directions and major academic activities - boosting innovative developments and cutting-edge technologies.

Professor Florin Udrea is a professor in Semiconductor Engineering at the University of Cambridge and a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering in the UK. He is also the head of the High Voltage Microelectronics and Sensors Laboratory. He specialises in power semiconductor devices and solid-state sensor research and has more than 100 patents in these fields. For his outstanding personal contribution to British Engineering he has been awarded the Silver Medal from the Royal Academy of Engineering in 2012.
