Recently ,converter valve of 6 inches 5000A/8500V thyristor developed independently by our company has been successfully passed the overload tests in ± 800kV UHVDC transmission from South Hami to Zhengzhou (referred as “Hazheng project”), the world’s largest HVDC transmission both in distance and capacity .

Hazheng project is the first HVDC line which has bipolar rated power 8000MW, rated voltage ± 800Kv, rated current 5000A in the world, also a key project of "electricity transmission from West to East China" strategy and the first UHV project in Northwest power grid. The line is approximately 2,210.2 kilometers long. Being part of western development strategy supported by central government, it is a key project of “Xinjiangelectricity transmission outward”, also a green work changing coal transportation to electricity transmission, which brings into friendly environment development.
