Recently, TEC has successfully accomplished the delivery of propulsion system for Georgia EMUs which is designed and manufactured by TEC independently. It’s the first time for TEC providing traction system for EMU abroad.

The power supply of EMU is DC 3000V, 2M2T, with the running speed up to 120 km/h. Due to the Georgia’s complex terrain and harsh running environment, the company has made a number of technology innovations and breakthroughs based on existing technology platform. The design and technical proposal can meet customer’s technical requirement of quick start and high speed. TEC finished the design, manufacture, test and FAI in time according to the required schedule.

The contract was signed in August 2010, as a system integration provider, TEC offered propulsion system for customer including traction converter, auxiliary converter, network control system, dynamic brake unit and etc.
